3.C. "Add A Client" Feature - How To Guide for Providers

introduction weâve created a way for you to add clients to hopscotch using the âadd a clientâ button at the top of your home screen in the provider portal, youâll be able to quickly add clients who come to you through your own marketing and referral networks who are in network with the insurances you are able to accept (as indicated on your profile) just as we do for your requests directly from hopscotch, we will take care of the insurance billing and administration for you for those of you who enjoy seeing adult clients, this is especially helpful although hopscotch will remain a pediatric focused behavioral health provider, and will market ourselves externally as such, we have come to realize that many of you have the skills, training and experience to serve older family members who contact you for therapy and would like to be able to add them to your hopscotch caseload the following are scenarios in which this new feature for working with adults will be helpful to our providers you are passionate about helping moms and dads with parenting concerns a parent contacts you because they would like support with their child as you learn more about the child, you realize the child does not meet the criteria for a mental health diagnosis, but the parent shares they have a history of anxiety and meets the diagnostic criteria for an anxiety disorder (or other diagnosis) you are trained in working with women experiencing postpartum mood and anxiety disorders a struggling new mother contacts you to inquire about therapy she meets the diagnostic criteria for an anxiety disorder, depression or adjustment disorder youâve been working with a high schooler who is turning 18 soon and wants to continue therapy services with you you enjoy working with young adults you receive calls from potential clients who are college age and are going to school or working and needing therapy services you are a trained infant mental health provider and would love to work with this population and bill insurance for services since infant related therapeutic work is generally not recognized by insurance, if the infantâs parent meets the criteria for a mental health diagnosis, you will be able to work with the family through hopscotch steps to adding clients to hopscotch step one log into the provider portal using your provider email address with the â@joinhopscotch comâ address once successfully logged in, select the "add a client" button on the top left corner of your home page step two a popup will open and allow you to begin filling out the patientâs information on the first tab, titled âinsurance infoâ, the patientâs insurance information is required begin by follow the instructions on the screen below to add a client to your client list move through the fields adding information as you go click on "continue" to complete once you complete these steps, hopscotch will send your potential client an email to walk them through the next steps to create an account, complete our caregiver paperwork (including the intake, agreement and payment/insurance information) you will then receive a request for an appointment, just as you do for other potential clients who come to you directly through hopscotch
