youâve likely heard it said, âa picture is worth a thousand wordsâ we are finding that to be very true! parents looking for therapy for their child or teen have consistently given us feedback that profile photos matter a great deal to them as they begin the process of selecting a provider provider pictures are usually the first thing parents see in their search results they help parents feel a sense of connection to a provider and significantly influence their decision to take the next step to either fully review the profile and/or reach out to a provider for an appointment this is why it's important to optimize your provider photo on hopscotch warm, inviting, professional photos with clear, crisp resolution and color contrast make all the difference use these tips to set up your profile photo for success pose appearance photo specifics smile! your facial expression and posture should be professional, warm, and inviting aim for a natural look, letting your personality shine through using a smartphone? take the photo with your phone's highest settings look directly at the camera casual, professional attire is best 1080 x 770 pixels (minimum) do not enlarge an image to this size don't tilt your head your picture should reflect how clients would expect you to look when you join a therapy session with them use a recent, updated photo no black and white photos full color, high res images only please no close selfies, please have a friend colleague or famiy member take your photo, or use a selfie stick lighting & backgrounds profile placement cropping make sure there is a lot of light where you are taking the photo take your photo horizontally please do not crop your photo so tight that the image starts with your chin on the bottom and your forehead on the top natural light makes for great pictures (near windows or outdoors) center yourself in the photo you don't need to try to be exactly in the center, but try not to be too far to the left or right side please don't use photos with others that you have cropped out avoid white backgrounds and please don't edit photos to have a white background color contrast makes for better pictures (ex if you are wearng a dark blue or black outfit, don't use a dark background ) it's great if the lens is pulled back slightly, as this accounts for different screen sizes see diagram above for rough composition avoid busy, distracting backgrounds the focus should be on you! try to include your shoulders to the top of your head in the photo need help? youâve got options! 1\) send us your photo and we can crop and upload to your hopscotch profile 2\) get a free professional headshot, it's on us! exclusively for our hopscotch providers, weâve paid for you to get your awesome headshot through an intuitive web based photo booth application itâs quick and easy to get the professional headshot youâve always hoped for and better yet, itâs free for hopscotch network providers ] where to find it https //headshots studio/hopscotch headshots 3\) set up an appointment with michelle at https //calendly com/michelle rigg/15minutes and let's work on it out together
